Do you believe the environmental common law is properly enforced, or do you think a lot of things slip through the cracks? What, if any, improvements do you think could improve our environmental common laws? I was curious, because I was thinking of heading in the direction of Enviromental law as a course of study.

While environmental common law is enforced, there are many judicial loop holes that can make the enforcement ineffective. If you chose this type of law be prepared for both political and judicial complications that can make the job very difficult to do.

I love a good challenging case, but this type of law is indeed very complicated. But, as the world goes more "green" every day, this field should keep a good lawyer busy in the upcoming years.

Your right, it is very complected. I was speaking with some professors who teach in the scientific fields and they told me that environmental issues like global warming are non scientific issues, but political ones. They said that scientific facts are facts, but it is up to the law to interpret them while acting as a middle ground between scientists and politicians. I thought that was an honest point of view.
